This year has been low key in comparison to past years owing to few election campaigns. We have however been taking a closer look at our policies and endeavouring to make greater use of our website to propagate the aims and objectives of The Scottish Unionist Party. The main objective is still resolutely to maintain Scotland’s place within the Union. We intend to broaden our base so as to ensure that our Party is not identified with one particular ideology and unionists of both centre left and centre right are welcome. We do however exclude extremist views of both left and right. We are strongly opposed to the extremely expensive, over bureaucratic Scottish Parliament and seek to replace this with genuine devolution to Scotland’s Local Authorities. We are the only Party in Scotland to call for an end to the costly and divisive system of religious apartheid which segregates our children at age five. We must educate them together. |
